Bucci: È stato un parto sincero però……
Gabrini: Non sarò mai abbastanza grato a chi in quest'avventura mi è stato meravigliosamente a fianco. Un secondo dono-miracolo di Herzog, inoltre, mi ha permesso di coronare un sogno nel sogno: fondere le immagini filmiche con una musica che ne vibrasse le corde più profonde. Volevo a tutti i costi (ma ero senza budget) i Popol Vuh, i musicisti di Monaco leaders dell'elettronica fin dai Sixties, autori delle colonne sonore dei film di Herzog. E così è stato. Contattati dal regista tedesco, si sono fatti mandare il premontato del film e dopo neanche 24 ore Florian Fricke, il leader dei Popol Vuh, mi ha telefonato dicendomi che mi avrebbero aspettato a Monaco per la registrazione delle musiche, tempo un mese.
