The track is subtitled "a morph of "Angel of the Air" by Popol Vuh". I’m unfamiliar with the term ‘morph’. Can you explain this is a bit?
ML: I call “morph” the reworks of music without adding anything, only elaborating the existing materials with digital and/or analog processing
What equipment and procedures did you use in producing this track?
ML: Some cheap programs, Paulstretch mostly, and an analog mixer . As I said before, no sound was added, I only manipulated the sounds of the original track
What were you musically aiming at?
ML: I mostly wished to pay a tribute to the sound of a band I still love very much. Their music still means very much to me, and inspires me. So influential.
How did came across Popol Vuh? Any special reason for choosing ‘Angel of the air”?
ML: I was sixteen when I met them (In den Garten Pharaos was the first album I listened to, and now I am 59. As a musician and as a listener I often return to their music. No special reason for choosing that track. Maybe the fact it is short counts. More “easy” to “morph”. And for its spiritual content, too (but every track of Popol Vuh have spiritual contents, actually ..).
